In the Beech Woods_In faggeta

Two years ago I had the great opportunity to be in a class of Mirjam Pet Jacobs during the European Patchwork Meeting in Alsace. The meeting was very meaningful, in many ways all flavored with art in that exquisite taste which always marks Mirjam’s work, whether she express herself through textile, photography or cooking. To this day, time apart, I still run into the many traces left open, eager to be crossed, and consumed… We talked about composition… So it happens I walk in the beech woods and, even though the kids always catch the most of my attention, I see lines, shapes, measure relationships in proximity, or distance, or contact, value the presence or the intentional absence of balance, read the chromatic scheme…

It was my great pleasure to have the possibility to see the asparagus acutifolius in bloom. Nothing special maybe, but it made me think of graceful fallen stars…

Static or Moving?

Static or Moving?

As it always happens, my birthday coming closer, I collect observations, considerations, sensations, intentions. Because it will be time for a new review very soon, and there’s some unnecessary to get rid of, some misleading to move aside, some energies to focus on the humility of a path, one of the many, the one I choose. The thickness of silence, in this place, invites me to look at. And, in the waiting, to lighten this space.

Come sempre accade, all’avvicinarsi del mio compleanno raccolgo osservazioni, considerazioni, sensazioni, intenzioni.
